Microsoft: Windows Store should become more user-friendly

Windows [Window] (actually Windows in English) is at first a merged graphical interface created by Microsoft, which then has come to be an array of operating systems in its own right, mainly for PC-compatible computer systems.

The Windows Store is not popular. Users often have problems installing new games, including the recently published Fora Horizon 5, how to pursue here. The Windows Store and the Xbox app have always installed apps and games at prescribed places, users themselves did not really control it.

This made it e.g. Frustrating to create a backup or move a game simply to another folder. Microsoft now wants to make the store more open and users will finally be able to install a program exactly where they want.

As the Verge reports, these changes are part of an update for the Xbox app, which is currently being tested internally. This also makes modding from games a lot easier, as previously only a limited number of Windows Store titles actually supported mods. By unrestricted folder access, everyone can do with their files he wants. With this update, the Windows Store now resembles a lot more other launchers like Steam and Battle.net. Players will also be able to examine and repair the game files for errors.
